Ancient Egyptians referred to Blue 🔵 as "Irtyu". This colour was symbolic of the dominion of the gods, signifying the water, sky, and the heavens. The colour was also used for the hair of the gods. In addition, royal symbols of authority such as the crook and flail used 🔵 blue and gold, typically paired together. Blue was actually considered the first pigment.
This colour had a variety of different names for its different shades. Irtyu was bright blue in colour. The word for this is Azure, meaning cloudless sky. Another one of the few names for blue was "Kheseb," a shade of blue that resembles the stone named "lapis lazuli," which means "blue stone 🔵.
